To progress through the game, you'll need to complete story missions. These are narrative-driven and often involve meetings with key characters and difficult tasks. In these missions, you'll get the satisfaction of completing a story, as well as unlocking rewards such as money and power. Of course, these missions come with their own dangers, as you'll need to fight your way through enemies and make difficult choices.
Outside of the story missions, you'll also be able to partake in side missions. These missions offer a range of objectives from protecting a certain location from enemies to searching for hidden items. These missions are completely optional, but they offer a range of rewards, from money to experience points, so they can be worth doing.
Once you build up your gang, you'll be ready to partake in turf wars. This mode pits you against rival gangs in an intense urban brawl. You'll be able to send your enforcers into battle and use weapons to help you gain an advantage over your enemies. You'll also have the option to make strategic decisions on which turf to attack, so keeping an eye on the map will be important in this mode.
The game also has a range of challenges, which are different from regular missions. These are often timed, and you'll need to complete them within a certain time limit. The challenges offer unique rewards and are worth doing if you want to give yourself a challenge.
