Setting up a game

StratEvade can be played online or offline in different game modes depending on the user’s preferences. To join a game lobby and play with other players, the user needs to log in with either an existing or new account. New players are encouraged to check out the tutorial mode, learn to play and complete some of the single player missions to get the hang of the game.

Building a military base

At the start of the game, the player needs to build their military base. This involves selecting a map or a custom-made map and setting up their military base with defensive buildings, resources, and troops. The types of buildings and troops are determined by the user’s resources. The more resources the user has, the more powerful their military base will be.

Assigning troops

The player can assign troops to their military base and assign each of these troops different tasks such as defending the base, attacking enemy forces and gathering resources. They can also assign these troops to defense and attack formations like rocket launchers, artillery and tanks. Each formation has different strengths and weaknesses, allowing the player to customize their army with the right mix of troops.

Managing resources while in battle

In the game, the player needs to manage their resources effectively while in battle. This involves capturing and controlling nearby villages to get more resources and launching attacks on the enemy’s base. The player also needs to capture and keep control of strategic points on the map to gain an advantage and outsmart their opponents.

Winning the game

The aim of the game is to defeat the enemy forces, capture and hold strategic points on the map, and secure enough resources for survival. The player can win the game either by wiping out all of the enemy forces or by capturing the enemy’s base. The player who is first to achieve this, wins the game.

StratEvade was developed by Meggar Ltd, a company specializing in creating 3D real-time strategy games for different platforms. The company was founded in 2010 and has released games such as Age of Empires II and III, Total War: Medieval II, and Halo Wars.

StratEvade was released in March 2017.

StratEvade has been compared to games such as Rise of Nations, Company of Heroes, and Total War: Shogun 2. All of these games take a different approach to real-time strategy, but can be said to be similar in terms of gameplay.
