How to Play

Setup of the Board

To get started, each player needs to set up the board for their individual use. This setup includes taking out four tiles, which will be used as the nine wooden pieces. The wooden pieces will then be placed in the designated spots on the board. The number of tiles used will depend on the number of players.

Dealing the Cards

Once the pieces are in place, it’s time to start dealing the cards. All players will need to pick up a deck of cards from the main pile. The amount of cards that each player has in their hand depends on the type of game being played. The number of cards for a two-player game is seven, for three-player games it’s six, and for four-player it’s five.

Gameplay

Object of the Game

Rummikub is a game of strategy and luck. The objective is to be the first player to get rid of all the tiles in their hand. The game is played over the course of several rounds and at the end of each round the player with the most points wins.

Scoring

At the end of each round, each player’s points are tallied. Players can score by placing sets of three or more tiles on the board, arranging the tiles in order and/or connecting tiles in a line. Points are awarded for any set or line placed on the board. At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins.

End of Game

When one player has managed to empty their hand of all their tiles, the game is over, and the player with the most points is declared the winner. If two or more players tie for the most points, the game is declared a draw, and the players are rewarded based on who had the most points at the end of the round.
